Why Mesobey

Mesobey started from a problem I kept running into.

Whenever I needed to find a service provider from our community, the process felt harder than it should be. A photographer, caterer, decorator, beauty professional, venue, or someone who understood the culture and expectations around the event.

Most of the search still happen through word of mouth.

• Texting friends
• Searching Instagram pages
• Posting in group chats
• Calling someone who knows someone
• Hoping the recommendation was still accurate

That works when your network is strong. It breaks down when you move somewhere new, plan from abroad, or need a service fast.

Mesobey started with that gap: making it easier to find service providers who understand the culture, not just the job.

What It Is

Mesobey is a live marketplace for Eritrean and Ethiopian community services.

Providers can list their services, and customers can browse, contact, and book professionals across categories like:

• Photography and videography
• Catering
• Decoration
• Beauty and makeup
• Venues
• Event services

The goal is simple: make trusted community services easier to discover, compare, and contact in one place.

The platform is live and growing, with providers across the US, UK, Africa, the Middle East, Europe, and Australia.

I built the full platform from design to deployment.

Mesobey is not only a marketplace project. It is a product problem around discovery, trust, community, and small business visibility.
